Account hacked? Take it back

The right steps in order, each platform’s official page, a message to warn your contacts and a case file to print. Everything happens on your device.

The first 15 minutes

Pay nothing and delete nothing: messages and history are evidence.
If money or a card is at stake: call your bank first on its official number.
Secure your email first: it is the key to recovering every other account.
Change the password from your own device, to a unique password.
Turn on two-step sign-in.
Sign out unknown sessions and devices.
Warn the people close to you that a message "from you" may be fake.
Write down what happened, with the time: the case file below helps.
