TikTok account hacked

The steps : TikTok

1. Try "forgot password" on TikTok’s official login page.
2. If the email or phone was changed, follow TikTok’s official hacked-account help page.
3. If you still have access: change the password now, to one you use nowhere else.
4. Turn on two-step sign-in (an authenticator app rather than SMS where possible).
5. Sign out the devices and sessions you do not recognise.

Warn the people close to you

Warning: my TikTok account was hacked. If you get a message "from me" asking for money, a code, a vote or to open a link, do not answer and send nothing. I will tell you myself when I have the account back.

The message deliberately has no link and no number.

Your case file

Write down each fact with its time (message received, password changed, call to the bank…). The printed file helps with the police, the bank or the insurer.

Kept only on this device, encrypted.
