NOMVEX CYBER / HELP
Data breach, scam: what to do and where to report
The right steps and the free official services, at the right moment.
Has my email address leaked?
Have I Been Pwned : Free independent service (outside the EU) that tells whether an email address appears in known data breaches. You go there yourself: NOMVEX sends your address nowhere.
If it appears in a breach
- Change the password of the affected service, and everywhere you used the same one.
- Turn on two-factor sign-in for email, bank and social accounts.
- Use a password manager so every service has a different password.
- Be wary of emails that mention the breach: fraudsters use it to look credible.

You are an organisation and personal data leaked?
The CNIL (French data protection authority) states: « Une notification initiale dans un délai de 72 heures si possible à la suite de la constatation de la violation » (notification to the CNIL). Notify a breach (CNIL, in French)
