The steps : Outlook / Microsoft

1. No access: fill in Microsoft’s official account recovery form from a usual device, with as many details as you can.
2. If you still have access: change the password now, to one you use nowhere else.
3. Turn on two-step sign-in (an authenticator app rather than SMS where possible).
4. Sign out the devices and sessions you do not recognise.
5. In Outlook, check inbox rules and automatic forwarding.

Warning: my Outlook / Microsoft account was hacked. If you get a message "from me" asking for money, a code, a vote or to open a link, do not answer and send nothing. I will tell you myself when I have the account back.

The message deliberately has no link and no number.
