Before you start
The active drill has stopped and balls are secured.
2–4 players per station. With four, the player without a ball observes one cue or rehearses footwork in clear space; rotate every five attempts. For 12 players: three groups of four, provided lanes remain separated.
Starting dose
3 minutes of easy movement and 2 minutes of discussion.
This volume is a teaching starting point, not an individual prescription.Observe & correct
Cue: Describe what happened before explaining why.
Error → correction: Vague judgement such as “bad passing”: replace it with an observed count or event.
Observable outcome: One factual observation and one next action are recorded.
Adapt to the group
Easier: Offer a question: which ball became easier to play?
Harder: Compare start/end counts collected with the same task.
Alternative setup: Use a spoken group review if no writing device is available.
