Before you start

Warm shoulders; controlled standing ball contact.

2–4 players per station. With four, the player without a ball observes one cue or rehearses footwork in clear space; rotate every five attempts. For 12 players: three groups of four, provided lanes remain separated.

Starting dose

2 rounds of 8 gentle feeds; rotate every 4.

This volume is a teaching starting point, not an individual prescription.

Observe & correct

Cue: Contact in front and finish balanced; no jump is required.

Error → correction: The feeder is in the hitting path: move the feeder beside the hitter.

Observable outcome: Count controlled placements in the chosen area.

Adapt to the group

Easier: Use a self-toss and gentle placement.

Harder: Choose between two targets called before the feed.

Alternative setup: Without a net, use a nearby floor target and very low force.
