Before you start

A comfortable lateral step without crossing feet.

2–4 players per station. With four, the player without a ball observes one cue or rehearses footwork in clear space; rotate every five attempts. For 12 players: three groups of four, provided lanes remain separated.

Starting dose

3 rounds of 30 seconds each; swap leader and recover for 30 seconds.

This volume is a teaching starting point, not an individual prescription.

Observe & correct

Cue: Push sideways and keep the chest available.

Error → correction: Feet cross while rushing: reduce speed and travel.

Observable outcome: Five signals followed with a balanced stop.

Adapt to the group

Easier: Call the direction before moving.

Harder: Use a visual cue instead of a spoken cue.

Alternative setup: Use two floor-line intersections as boundaries.
