Second-contact emergency set — Set-to-block recovery

When setter takes first ball, train another player to set a high safe outside ball.

Applied training constraint: After release the setter covers the attacker for block rebounds.

Family mode: use a safe space, reduce intensity and consult a coach to scale technical movements to the child’s age.

03 · On-court execution
  1. When setter takes first ball, train another player to set a high safe outside ball.
  2. After release the setter covers the attacker for block rebounds.
  3. Call help early and use the simplest available target.
  4. Log each repetition according to this measure: Count coverable rebounds and next-ball contact.
04 · Suggested training dose

21 minutes

8 balls in the starting series, with rest adjusted to quality and player level.

05 · Measured success criterion

Count coverable rebounds and next-ball contact.

Record attempts, success and errors; do not infer progress from volume alone.

06 · Safety and adaptation

Scale workload, speed and distance to ability; stop whenever execution or safety deteriorates.
