Stable float, grounded platform — Left-right release

Place a receiver in zone 6 with a setter target near zone 2; start with controlled float serves.

Applied training constraint: Send consecutive serves either side of the receiver, without allowing reach-only contacts.

Family mode: use a safe space, reduce intensity and consult a coach to scale technical movements to the child’s age.

01 · Technical focus

Stable float, grounded platform

Move before setting the platform; keep both feet on the floor at contact.

02 · Setup and equipment

Place a receiver in zone 6 with a setter target near zone 2; start with controlled float serves.

Equipment: Volleyballs, Setter target, Floor markers

Starting zone: 6

03 · On-court execution
  1. Place a receiver in zone 6 with a setter target near zone 2; start with controlled float serves.
  2. Send consecutive serves either side of the receiver, without allowing reach-only contacts.
  3. Move before setting the platform; keep both feet on the floor at contact.
  4. Log each repetition according to this measure: Score a repetition only after balanced feet and a controlled platform.
04 · Suggested training dose

18 minutes

12 balls in the starting series, with rest adjusted to quality and player level.

05 · Measured success criterion

Score a repetition only after balanced feet and a controlled platform.

Record attempts, success and errors; do not infer progress from volume alone.

06 · Safety and adaptation

Scale workload, speed and distance to ability; stop whenever execution or safety deteriorates.
